Dave Hingerty

Dave Hingerty is one of the most prominent drummers in Ireland. He has played on some of the biggest stages in the world with renowned artists such as Chris Martin, The Frames, Josh Ritter, Louis Stewart, Mary Coughlin and The Corrs.

His studio experience is second to none, having worked with production luminaries such as Steve Albini (Nirvana), Trevor Horn (Grace Jones) and Brian Deck (Modest Mouse).

Philosophy

Dave's many years spent in the music industry has given him an understanding of the many skills required of the professional drummer in today's world.

With this in mind, he has developed a multi layered learning system that goes beyond simply reading a book and practicing rudiments. It is devised to challenge every type of drummer; preparing them to play drums in all different scenarios, whether it be in the studio, at gigs, on the road or at home jamming with friends.

Broad Learning

The course aims to develop drummers with good all round music skills. Learning is carried out over a carefully structured learning path that is built up over several stages.

The four main points of preparation are: performance, theory, ear training and creativity.
